Brother Hubbard

I’m gonna skip the introduction, You should ALL know of Brother Hubbard by now, so I’m going to start with the conclusions this time.
Brother Hubbard is wildly different and original, making their food with a kicking flavour, I have absolutely fallen in love with the restaurant.
Can’t wait for my next visit, In fact, a few days after visiting, a few girls on the Luas mentioned the place and I couldn’t wait any longer to write about Brother Hubbard.
Tables and chairs sitting low, feeling miniature and took me back a little to kindergarten, doesn’t matter – the food is delicious.

So here it is, we started with some freshly cold Morrocan Iced Tea and Coffee.

Half an Avocado – Yes, Half!

We ordered two halves of Avocados, and normally you’d think ‘3Euros for an Avocado is a bit mad’ right? WRONG!
There’s a combination of nuts & seeds under the bed of greens, Parsley, Mint and Dill very noticeable – However, the ingredient that stunned me most was the zestiness of lemon, brings the Avocado to life, Fantastic.

Only 3Euros? I’ll take 20, please!

Breakfast of Champignons

Angels from heaven must have come up with this recipe, Gill loved every bit of it, “nutritious and refreshing” she announced.
‘Baked Portobello Mushrooms with a light creamy Cashel Blue Cheese sauce, 2 soft poached eggs, roast tomato, caramelized onion, with fresh baby spinach leaves, on griddled sourdough toast’

Croque Monsieur

Baked ham & cheese sandwich, undefeatable and greatly ‘cheesy’, if you’re looking for cheese today, do not look any further because that’s the place you’ve been looking for. so delightful, plus rich with cheese.

‘Baked ham & cheese smothered in a rich béchamel cheese sauce with a touch of Dijon mustard. Served hot from the oven, and accompanied by a leafy side salad.’

Mouth of the Beast.

If you haven’t been there yet, it’s a great opportunity to go ahead and cancel everything for a meal there.
Their staff is so nice and food served is freshly made on the spot, no factories or behind the scenes ingredients – that’s what I call not compromising.
They also have fantastic desserts to grab should you be craving for sweet food, The place was a bit crowded and couldn’t grab pictures – ugh!

Taking our hats off to Brother Hubbard, your service was lovely, the food astounded us, and the place is cool! Thank you!
